New Student Enrollment

Complete the online registration through the Washoe County School District registration website using the link below:

New Student to WCSD Online Registration

Use this link for registration regardless of whether your student has never attended, is currently attending, or has previously attended a Washoe County School District school.

Proof of Address & Required Documents

  • Proof of Address: A utility bill (Power, Water, Sewer, etc.), rental/lease agreement, or closing escrow papers in at least one parent/guardian’s name.
  • If these are not in a parent/guardian’s name, see the Special Circumstances section below.
  • Withdrawal Form: Required from the last school attended (unless enrolling for a future school year).
  • Original Birth Certificate: Must be the original certified document.
  • Immunization Record: Must include:
    • Two Hepatitis A and three Hepatitis B shots.
    • TDaP (within the last 10 years).
    • Proof of Chickenpox or two Varicella vaccines.
    • Meningococcal vaccine after age 11 and booster after age 16.
    • Polio vaccine and MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella).
  • Transcript: All high school grades. Incoming freshmen must provide a complete middle school transcript unless transferring from a WCSD school.

Special Circumstances

  • If the parent/guardian and student live with another family, provide a letter from the homeowner stating that the parent/guardian and student reside there, plus proof of address in the homeowner’s name.
  • If the student does not live with a parent/guardian, the adult with whom the student lives and the legal parent/guardian must complete a Washoe County School District Temporary Guardianship Form.
  • If legal guardianship has been established through the courts, a copy of the court order must be provided.
